With the volatility in precious metal markets, we are experiencing a large increase in the volume of transactions, particularly with incoming shipments.  When shipping packages to any Dillon Gage location, we request that you adhere to the following procedures:

• Each box must contain a copy of the purchase order confirmation from Dillon Gage or similar packing slip that has the Dillon Gage PO number or Fiztrade confirmation number.
• Packing slip must reference the Dillon Gage PO number.
• Inventory should be separated and organized according to product type. (i.e. silver rounds separate from silver eagles, etc)
• Metal should be packaged so that it does not rattle around within the box.
• Package should be double-boxed and securely taped.
• For additional details, please watch this short video tutorial.

Thank you for your assistance with this as it will help expedite the processing and payment of transactions. Packages that do not follow these guidelines may experience delays in processing and incur an additional fee.

Also, please note that purchase orders will be automatically updated for any merchandise that arrives and has a discrepancy of 5 oz or less of silver.

The National Weather Service has issued an ice storm warning for areas in North and Central Texas. This is in effect until Thursday morning. As a result, Federal Express is not operating today in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area. The Dillon Gage and IDS facilities in Texas are open but are operating with reduced staff.

Shipments may begin moving on Thursday and Friday pending FedEx’s decision on how much they can handle when they return to service.

Please check order status on FizTrade and tracking on FedEx for package updates and allow additional days for packages to be delivered.

FedEx Express and FedEx Ground will enable ID scanning functionality for deliveries of “Adult Signature Required” (ASR) packages in the U.S. The ID scanning technology reduces manual data entry at point of delivery, improving accuracy of recipient information and increasing efficiency.

Please inform your customers about the upcoming change to how Federal Express will be delivering packages sent with “Adult Signature Required.”

How to help your customers prepare for this change

Please have your valid government-issued photo ID ready at the time of delivery.

Effective 06/28/22 FedEx will introduce scanning technology that electronically captures the recipient’s first initial, last name, and automatically verifies that age requirements are met for shipments requiring an adult signature at delivery. The software does not record or store any other personal data (e.g., driver’s license number, birthdate, home address, etc.).

The Dallas Metroplex and much of the Eastern half of the United States is experiencing a severe Winter storm. Federal Express provided an alert stating that due to the freezing rain and icy roads there have been significant interruptions in service at their Memphis and Indianapolis distribution hubs. This weather has also caused the cancellation of pick-ups and deliveries in Dallas. Additionally, UPS is likely to experience a reduction in service during this weather event.

Please be aware that you will likely see no movement in packages within this region for a few days.

Federal Express has informed us that they continue to experience a ripple effect of delays from the storms a few weeks ago. We have been told that the hub in Memphis, which is their main sort facility, is overwhelmed. Sadly, they are not able to provide us with any insight as to when these packages will be processed.
